"Melodi. Melodi! Get up their back!" A harsh whisper in the dark called out to me.
I knew that voice.
It was my little sister Miricale.
Knowing that if she called me in the middle of the night saying something like that, something was wrong.
I sat up in my bed and searched around the room. Instead of trying to squint in the dark, my room door was open and a faint light was down the hallway.
The air was thick and forced me to cough. I knew that smell.
Fire.
I jumped out of bed and looked up at the bed of too of mine. Since me and Miricale shared a bunk bed, I was expecting to see her up as well in shock. But she wasn't there.
This started to make my heart race even more.
I slowly climbed out of bed, carefully listening to here any slight noise. But of course I heard nothing except the soft crackling of fire.
"Miricale? Mom? Sylus? Sharia?" I called out all of my family as I walked into the kitchen. The fire was ablaze in the living room as I stood in the kitchen with the perfect view of it.
The house wasn't the big, so I knew in a matter of minutes the house would be on fire.
"Where did they go? Their rooms are up here! I know I just heard Miricale! Did they leave without me?"
Outside the window I saw a small flash. I walked up towards it and peered outside. I couldn't really see, but when I forced my eyes to look harder, I noticed that I was face to face with another pair of eyes.
They looked empty, cold, icey and full of hatered. "Who the f--" Before I could finish I saw the eye look down at its gun that was pointed right at me. Then pulled they trigger.
To be Continued.........πŸ˜‰
